FABULOUS AFRICAN FABRICS supports orphans and vulnerable children living at The Good Samaritan Children's Home in Nairobi, Kenya.
FAF, a 501c3 organization provides food, shelter and educational fees for children and teens. The orphanage was founded by Mercy and John Thuo in 1995. FAF began helping the orphange in 1999. Currently there are 600 young people supported by the orphanage.
Funds are raised through donations, selling items made of African Textiles, and participation in funding supported by GlobalGiving, Amazonsmile, and through special events.
GLOBALGIVING hosts one FAF project, which funds school tuition and uniforms. To donate to FAF on Global Giving go to www.globalgiving.org and insert number 24906. Then follow the on-line directions. GlobalGiving holds 3 Bonus Days annually when donations are matched by Global Giving which has large corporate support. Dates will be announced on this page and on www.GlobalGiving.org.
